You may know me as:
Software developer/CS graduate/partially hobbyist game-dev, I love volunteering to assist with projects of all sorts.
While my "game-dev" career began before that, my first serious experience with modding originated in OWI's Squad. Primarily utilizing the sequencer to make cinematic sequences for clans, the Squad Charity League, and mods. You can see some of my work here I was also involved with the Canadian Armed Forces modding team which was eventually picked up and became an official DLC.
Post-CAF I was primarily busy with studies and seeing what else the software world had to offer, but my volunteering itch needed to be scratched. Queue in Arelith based on Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition.
I assisted the server with everything ranging from in-game systems, maintaining/updating backend utilities, tracking player behaviors/wants, managing CI/CD, and ensuring QC. I still manage/maintain things in cases of emergencies, but I've largely taken a step back as I work on solo endeavors.
During the midst of this, there were many attempts to get a game off the ground in Unreal Engine with my brothers as a team, since we all have relevant skills/experience, but with a small inexperienced team and strict systems we never made enough headway for something to release. While I think it's a fantastic engine, I became disillusioned and decided to return to Unity.
Queue in Leshy Prelude which is probably what directed you to my profile. Lots of time was spent on getting this finished, polished, and released. A lot was learnt, there was a lot that I didn't expect, and here I am. I hope you enjoyed it. You can read a devlog specifically about Leshy prelude here!
